FURTHER PHOTO EXPEDITIONS’ RESPONSE AND SPECIAL TERMS REGARDING COVID-19

April 6, 2021:

Spring is here! We hope all of our passionate explorers are doing well—finding themselves healthy and more comfortable stepping back into a great expedition of this beautiful world and its natural resources.

As with many locations and businesses in the world currently, Further Photo Expeditions is still implementing COVID precautions. Below is an inclusive list of our precautions as they currently stand:

We are working with an excellent team of professionals, advising us on the best precautions in real-time. Therefore, it is possible our policies reflected on the COVID precautions page will continually update. Be sure to stay apprised of this page.

  • Within 30 days of the start date of an expedition, our team will email all participants a COVID-19 Questionnaire and Waiver. These documents must be filled out no earlier than 14 days from the start date of the expedition, signed, and returned to us by the 10th day prior to the expedition.

  • On all expeditions until further notice, we require that participants use their own vehicle / rental vehicle, or arrange for their own transportation, to get the shooting destinations each day. Where possible, we are now selecting hotels that are within 25 miles of the shooting destinations to help alleviate driving distances. This driving advisement will be communicated via email to participants 30 days ahead of the expedition, and we retain the right to announce as early as the day before arrival if pandemic conditions change. Participant and team safety is of our highest concern; therefore we will be prioritizing safety above all else, so we can continue to bring participants out to beautiful places of this world.

  • We require all participants to wear masks in any shared vehicles, indoor classrooms, group indoor settings, and outside where social distancing is not possible.

July 13, 2020:

Dear explorers,

It has been approximately four months since the United States has declared the COVID-19 virus a national pandemic. We want to start this message by paying homage to your courage and strength to withstand the challenges of this time. We know this strength is at the core of ‘the intrepid’—our explorers. We’ve been so honored to venture to far-out places and explore amongst the shoulders of you. You keep us going, and we hope we keep you going.

We have taken this time to diligently research and update operating procedures, expedition dates, payment policies and more. Of note, it has been important for us to work with our vendors (hotels, etc) to maintain pricing from last year for postponed trips. We are pleased to say we were successful enough in those endeavors to not change our postponed trip prices, and are now able to reschedule.

Please read the points below for all updates.

1. ON JULY 13th, 2020, we ANNOUNCE the RESCHEDULED DATES FOR CERTAIN EXPEDITIONS:

The following expeditions have been made up with new dates:

  • Capture the Red Magic of Moab, May 14-17, 2020—NOW MAY 5-8, 2021*

  • Capture the Red Magic of Moab, May 18-21, 2020—NOW MAY 10-13, 2021*

*For our trips to Moab, we may also be able to accommodate the dates of October 2020. Please email us if you would like to inquire about rescheduling for these dates.

2. COVID-SAFE UPDATES TO OUR PROCEDURES

Thorough procedural updates will be posted in our Booking Terms & Conditions. Below are a few highlights:

  • We ask that all participants wear masks in any shared vehicles, classrooms and group indoor settings

  • On certain expeditions, we will ask that participants use their own vehicle / rental vehicle to get the shooting destinations each day.

  • Participants agree to temperature-check and symptom-check themselves once a week for the two weeks leading up to the expedition, and will submit information to our team at time of logging

  • Participants will be temperature-screened at time of arrival and each morning of expedition

3. NEW PAYMENT OPTIONS

We are now offering participants the opportunity to pay ‘Peace of Mind’ rates on select expeditions. The ‘Peace of Mind’ rate removes the meals, lodging and transportation costs that are normally included in our expedition rates. These participants will be responsible for their own meals, lodging and transportation during the expedition. We will still be providing the all-inclusive expedition product we are known for, but in effort to accommodate different comfort levels during this time, we will offer and list the ‘Peace of Mind’ rate, when applicable, on expedition pages.
